Student Clubs & Chapters

Robotics & Intelligent Systems

AST Club “AUTONOMOUS SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGIES”

Founded in 2024

Founded in 2024, the Autonomous Systems Technologies Club (AST Club) is the first and only scientific club of the National Higher School Of Autonomous Systems Technologies. It is the student-led hub for innovation in autonomous and intelligent systems.

The club's mission is to provide a practical engineering environment where members develop deep technical expertise through collaborative hands-on projects and specialized workshops.

Events & Activities:

Workshops

AST frequently proposes workshops to school students and AST members, teaching them technical hard skills for their projects. Topics start from Arduino basics, Python, UI/UX, LaTeX, video editing, CAD and simulations, OpenCV, AI, and more.

NEST

The first robotics hackathon in Algeria, where more than 200 participants compete to solve a robotic problem in three days.

SEED

An event where 35+ clubs from universities across the country showcase their projects and exchange ideas—a perfect occasion to build valuable opportunities and network.

F-AST

The first fast line following competition in Algeria, where students build line-following robots and compete for the best timing to win valuable prizes.

Glow Night (Collab with ASTCS)

A Ramadan gathering combining Iftar, gaming zones, VR experiences, archery, and board games in a collaborative environment.

Algeria AI Hackathon

A prestigious hackathon initiated by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, proudly hosted and organized by the AST Club.

"The best thing about our club is when there's a robotics competition for the club or outside the school (like Polymaze), the club managers help students build their robots and solve technical problems. As a result, we've seen many 1st year students successfully creating robots and competing head-to-head with older students from other universities!"

Escaping Academic Pressure

ASTCS Cultural & Sports Club

Founded on March 5th, 2025

ASTCS Club was created to offer students a space beyond academics — a place where culture, sports, creativity, teamwork, and entertainment come together.

Through a variety of events and activities, the club aims to create memorable experiences, strengthen connections between students, encourage self-expression, and provide moments of relaxation away from academic pressure.

Events & Activities:

The Open Day “Ramadan Night”
